Community Guidelines

Borrow Babe works because members trust each other with their clothes. These rules apply to listings, profiles, messages and how you behave at a handoff. They are part of the Terms of Service.

What you can list

Clothing and accessories that you own, in clean, wearable condition.
Real photos of the actual item. No stock images or photos taken from other sites.
An honest description: correct size, brand and condition, and any flaws.

What you cannot list

Counterfeit or stolen items, or items you do not have the right to rent out.
Underwear, swimwear worn next to the skin, or anything unwashed or unsanitary.
Anything that is not clothing or accessories, including services.
Weapons, drugs, recalled products or anything illegal to rent or sell.

Photos and profiles

No nudity or sexually explicit content.
No hate symbols, slurs or threats.
Do not post photos of other people without their permission.
Do not pretend to be someone else.
Keep contact details, payment handles and links out of listings and profiles.

How to treat other members

Reply to requests and messages promptly, and say no clearly if the answer is no.
Show up when you said you would. Cancel early if you cannot.
Return items on time and in the condition you received them.
No harassment, discrimination, pressure or unwanted personal messages.
Keep the conversation in the app until a rental is approved.

Meeting safely

Meet in a public place in daylight when you can, and tell someone where you are going.
Check the item together at pickup and at return, and take dated photos.
Never share passwords, verification codes or bank login details with another member.
If you ever feel unsafe, leave. In an emergency call 911.

Report a listing or a member from the menu on their listing or profile. Block a member to stop them contacting you or sending you requests; they are not told. We review reports and aim to act within 24 hours.

What happens when rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, send a warning, suspend the account for a period, or close it permanently. Serious cases, such as threats, sexual content involving minors or stolen goods, lead to immediate removal and may be reported to law enforcement.
