How it works

From their closet to your night out

  1. Browse and save

    Scroll pieces listed by other members, filter by category, and tap the heart to keep your favorites on your wishlist.

  2. Request your dates

    Pick the days you need it and send a request. The owner approves or declines. Nothing is booked until they say yes.

  3. Meet up and wear

    Arrange a local pickup in the app, wear it, and hand it back on the day you agreed.

How paying works at launch. Borrow Babe does not handle payments yet. You and the owner agree on how to pay, and you pay them directly.

For lenders

Earn from your closet

The pieces you love but rarely wear can pay their way. List them and rent them out to members near you.

  • You set the price. Choose a price per day for each piece.
  • You pick the dates. Mark the days each piece is available.
  • You approve every request. Nothing leaves your closet until you say yes.
  • You are paid directly. At launch, renters pay you themselves, however the two of you agree.

Trust and safety

Sharing clothes takes trust

  • Members only

    You need an account to browse, list or send a request.

  • Report and block

    Report a listing or a member from their page, and block anyone you would rather not hear from. They are not told.

  • Meet locally

    Pickups and returns happen in person, somewhere you both agree on. We suggest a public place in daylight.

  • No exact addresses

    Listings show a general area that you choose. We never ask for your street address.

  • Your email stays private

    Your email address is never shown to other members.

  • Know the ground rules

    Rentals are agreements between members. Borrow Babe does not inspect or insure items, so check each piece together at pickup and return.
